ELF General Meeting May 2026: Strengthening International Cooperation in Skopje
Posted by:European Law Firm

At the end of May, members of the European Law Firm network gathered in Skopje, North Macedonia, for one of its three annual General Meetings. The three-day business-focused event brought together legal professionals and partners from across Europe to discuss the network’s strategic direction, strengthen professional relationships, and explore new opportunities for cross-border cooperation.

The meeting featured updates on the network’s activities and development, discussions on membership and governance matters, and presentations on several strategic initiatives. A significant milestone was the admission of hylt Hristov Yalcin Rechtsanwälte GmbH (Austria) as a new member of the ELF network, further strengthening the organisation’s international reach and reinforcing its commitment to building a dynamic and diverse community of independent law firms across Europe.

Particular attention was also given to emerging legal topics, sector-specific collaboration, and expanding international business opportunities. The programme was enriched by external guest speakers, including Dimitar Klisarovski, Country Managing Director of Diaverum North Macedonia and Vice President of the Swedish-Macedonian Chamber of Commerce, who shared insights on enhancing ELF’s visibility in the Nordic region and developing cross-border business opportunities, and Olivier Dalongeville, Development Director at TGS SEE, who presented potential areas for future cooperation between ELF and TGS.

In addition to the formal programme, participants exchanged knowledge and best practices, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that defines the ELF network and its commitment to delivering high-quality cross-border legal services.

Beyond the business sessions, the General Meeting offered valuable opportunities for networking and strengthening professional relationships. Participants enjoyed shared meals at some of Skopje’s well-known restaurants. The social programme also featured the formal gala dinner at Chateau Kamnik, providing an elegant setting for members and guests to further develop professional connections in a relaxed atmosphere.

A visit to Matka Canyon, one of North Macedonia’s most renowned natural attractions, added a memorable social and cultural dimension to the event.

The Skopje General Meeting successfully reaffirmed ELF’s commitment to strategic growth, international cooperation, and member-driven value creation. By combining substantive discussions with meaningful networking opportunities, the event once again demonstrated the strength of the ELF community and its dedication to supporting clients and members across borders.

Eueopean Law Firm extends sincere appreciation to STSh Legal and Aleksandra Stojanovska Tasevska and Vladimir Stojanovski for their outstanding organisation and warm hospitality, which made the Skopje General Meeting a success.
