European Law Firm General Meeting – Luxembourg, May 2025
Posted by:European Law Firm

Our recent General Meeting in Luxembourg brought together 30 lawyers from over 20 countries, creating a space not only for discussion and planning, but also for connection, reflection, and shared purpose.

We were especially pleased to welcome two new member firms into the network:
Winckworth Sherwood LLP from the United Kingdom, and
STSh Legal from North Macedonia.

Their addition broadens both our reach and the depth of expertise within the network. It was a pleasure to get to know their teams in person and to begin exploring ways to collaborate.

The meeting also gave space for several of our committees to move forward with their work. The Life Sciences & Healthcare Committee, led by Mathilde Merckx, continued its active engagement and discussions, including the next steps for launching the planned telemedicine questionnaire.

We also officially launched the Human Resources Committee, with Hristo Mashkov stepping into the lead. The committee will look at shared challenges and approaches across jurisdictions, starting with a round of consultations with member firms.

Beyond the formal sessions, we had the chance to experience a bit of Luxembourg’s rich character and history. A visit to the Court of Justice of the European Union was a clear highlight, followed by a relaxed and atmospheric evening at Cercle Munster, the city’s oldest English-style club.

Some of our more energetic members also took part in a 23-kilometre cycling tour, crossing into Germany and enjoying some of the region’s beautiful scenery—and a well-earned glass of local wine.

A sincere thank you goes to TURK & PRUM and François Turk for hosting us so generously and making the meeting run so smoothly. These few days in Luxembourg were a reminder of what makes the ELF network special: trust, collaboration, and the willingness to build something together.

We look forward to what’s next!
